We all worked together to send the pets north to Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. It was a super cool day. $animalrescue

Buncombe County Sheriff's Office: We're excited to meet the Genesee County Sheriff's Office today! These First Responders are traveling all the way from Flint, Michigan, to deliver essential goods to local community members who are still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. This effort highlights the power of unity and compassion as our communities come together, showing that distance can't diminish our willingness to help one another.
Sheriff Chris Swanson noted the significance of this mission, recalling the assistance Flint received during its water crisis: "This community won’t forget what people all over the country did in 2016... And that’s why I don’t forget."
Buncombe County Sheriff's Office Chief of Staff Donnie Parks expressed deep gratitude for the support, emphasizing residents' ongoing challenges. There’s a great need for life essentials and even simple gifts to show others care.
Thank you, Genesee County, for your generosity! We can't wait to thank you all in person!

Town of Weavervlle: A message from our own, Sgt. Andy Mace of Weaverville Police Dept. "I would like to take this chance to remind anyone who would like to help in this year's 'Cops for Kids' program that there is still time. The Weaverville Police Department has partnered with the Weaverville Primary and Weaverville Elementary schools to ensure they have the means to provide gifts and other essential needs to less fortunate children in our community during this holiday season and beyond.
This has been a particularly hard season due to so many families being impacted by Hurricane Helene. If you are able to donate a monetary gift to the Cops for Kids program, 100% of that donation will go to the above mentioned schools and will directly benefit the children of those schools and their families.
Please bring any monetary donations to the Weaverville Police Department at 30 South Main Street during regular business hours or mail to Weaverville Police Department at PO Box 338 Weaverville NC 28787.
Thank you, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!"
🎄Look for the 'Cops 4 Kids' donation jars at the Weaverville Candlelight Stroll. 😀
