McDowell County Sheriff's Office: It is with great sadness that we once again announce the death of our recently retired beloved K-9 member, Kessy, who passed Wednesday morning due to declining health. She was the partner of Detective Adam Burnette and was certified in narcotics, tracking and criminal apprehension. Kessy came aboard the Sheriff’s Office in 2014. Please keep Detective Burnette and his family, along with our staff at the Sheriff’s Office, in your prayers.
