Our annual Emergency Services Wooden Bat Softball Tournament. We will have 2 divisions this year: open and closed. Only 4 open teams will be allowed. Closed teams will be from the Emergency Services Side. Cost is 200.00$. 55-minute drop dead pool game. 55 finish in bracket. All batters start with a 1&1 count. Balls will be provided. Open teams will play in their own pool and bracket with the overall bracket winner playing the Emergency Services Winner bracket. This is our Shop With A Cop Fundraiser. Concessions and raffle drawings will be available

Join Us Labor Day Weekend, Friday, August 30th, 2024 - Monday, September 2nd, 2024 for a Sidewalk Quilt Sale & Ice Cream Social at the American Museum of the House Cat.
Jack The Dipper will be on site dishing up frozen treats for purchase all day Saturday, 8/31/2024 and Monday, Labor Day, 9/02/2024.
Quilts found on our Front Porch Sidewalk will be available to purchase and funds raised will go to our Museum Endowment Fund for theLegacy of our Meowseum Foundation. We are an Independent Museum striving to entertain, inspire and educate cat lovers and are 100% Guest Funded. Your generous donations help us continue to give back to the ShelterKitties of the Catman2 Shelter.

The 15th annual season of Concerts on the Creek continues on Friday, Aug. 23 with a performance by Dashboard Blue from 7-9 p.m. at the Bridge Park stage in Sylva.
Dashboard Blue is a five-piece band based in Asheville, N.C., with 25+ years of professional experience. They will perform classic hits.
Concerts on the Creek are held every Friday night from 7-9 p.m. at the Bridge Park in Sylva, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a chair or blanket. These events are FREE but donations are encouraged. Dogs must be on a leash. No smoking, vaping, coolers or tents are allowed. There will be food trucks on site for this event.
These concerts are organized and produced by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Sylva and the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department.
