Asheville Man Faces Gun and Drug Charges
Asheville -- June 28, 2024: Asheville Police Press Release: Asheville Police arrest a man on gun and drug charges
while continuing targeted enforcement in a south Asheville neighborhood.
While conducting the targeted enforcement, detectives made contact with Zaire Wanya Lytle near the Hampton Street and Caribou Road intersection around 2:14 p.m. on June 26th. During the investigation, Lytle was found to be in possession of a concealed firearm and was taken into custody without incident. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of drugs.
Seized:
-Smith & Wesson M&P9 pistol
-3.4g of crack cocaine
-30.31g of marijuana
Arrested:
Zaire Wanya Lytle
-Carrying a Concealed Gun
Lytle was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility, and released on a $1,500 secured bond.
