3 Charged With Multiple Felonies in Henderson County
Henderson County -- Early on April 9, 2025, patrol deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff's Office Baker Squad pulled over a car that had its headlights off and was driving along Asheville Highway.
The car had just driven away from the area of a known incident scene.
The three occupants were identified by deputies as Brittney Lynn Moore, Bobby Oneal Hollifield, and Jacob Christopher Hudson. Deputies suspected the property might have been stolen after noticing odd objects in the car and the trailer it was towing. They took pictures of the area and recorded the contents.
Detective McGee and Patrol Detective Ives arrived at Rogers Group at 2700 Asheville Highway later that day to look into the theft that had been reported. Detectives at the time concluded that the goods found during the day's traffic stop were identical to those taken from the Rogers Group.
They found the car and trailer, which were thought to be close to Hudson's Mills River home, with the help of the Henderson County ACE Unit. Deputies from the ACE Unit were able to find the truck and trailer containing the stolen goods. When a search warrant was carried out at Hudson's Mills River home, between $15,000 and $20,000 worth of stolen goods were found and recovered. All items were returned to the owners.
As a result of the investigation, all three suspects, Hudson, Hollifield, and Moore have been charged with a total of 34 felony counts and three misdemeanors. Charges include:
• Felony Breaking & Entering
• Felony Larceny
• Possession of Stolen Goods
• Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
• Felony Conspiracy
Hollifield has been arrested and has since posted bond on his charges. Hudson was taken into custody in Buncombe County and is awaiting service of charges in Henderson County. Warrants for Brittney Lynn Moore remain outstanding.
