2024 Wagon Train Summer Ride Jackson County

Sylva -- 2024 WNC Wagon Train Summer Ride Address: 1005 Locust Creek Road Sylva NC 28779 Dates: June 29th-July 6th 2024

Gathering day Saturday morning June 29th.

Sunday: Dillsboro. 14 miles. Pavement. Grade 3. We will be coming through town Sunday. This will be the day you decorate your animals and wagons to show the town our patriotism.

Monday: Pressley Gap. 18 miles. 90/10 pavement gravel. Grade 5.

Tuesday: Gribble Gap. 13 miles. Pavement. Grade 5. Shooting creek Band to play Tuesday night from 8-11p.

Layover Wednesday, July 3rd. Board Dinner Wednesday, at 6:30 pm with auction to follow. Any auction items you would like to donate are accepted for the auction.

Thursday: Round Top. 15 miles. 50/50 pavement/gravel. Grade 6.

Friday: Edge Water. 13 miles. Pavement. Grade 3.

Saturday: Ashe Settlement. 10 miles. Pavement. Grade 3.

Most will pack up and leave after the ride Saturday the 6th, but must be out of field by Sunday the 7th at lunchtime.
Town is approx 3-4 miles away.
Fresh water upon request. Water for stock will be available. Hay available upon request. If you need some let us know ahead of time.

Fees for this ride will be $50/family. $25/individual.

Board members will be parking campers to ensure adequate room for everyone comfortably.
Generators welcome. All primitive. Field is easily accessible from pavement.
