Marion Man Charged with Break-in and Larceny

Yancey County -- August 16, 2024:  Robert Luther Dover, Jr. of Marion with felony Breaking or Entering, two counts of

Larceny After Breaking or Entering, and two counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense. Dover was issued a $50,000 secured bond.

On July 21st an Old Fort resident reported two motorcycles had been stolen from a building on his property. An investigation determined Dover sold one of the motorcycles to an out-of-state resident. The motorcycle has been located in Tennessee.

The other motorcycle has not been located.
