Asheville --  Press Release Asheville Police:  Asheville Police Department officers apprehended a juvenile in possession of a firearm Tuesday afternoon at a City of Asheville pool.

Officers responded to the Grant Southside Center Pool to investigate a report from a third-party caller regarding a firearm on the premises around 3:22 p.m. on July 1st.

Officers arrived and located a juvenile with a firearm. The firearm was safely secured, and there were no injuries reported in the incident.  

Asheville Police Department detectives are working with the Department of Juvenile Justice to determine possible charges.
