Second Person Solicit Child by Computer Charge Yancey County

Yancey County -- Yancey County Sheriff's Office: 2nd Arrest of John Walter Willett today. Willett is charged with

a 2nd count of Solicit Child By Computer and his bond was increased to $100,000.

An investigation conducted by the Yancey County Sheriff's Office has resulted in the arrest of John Walter Willett, III, 67, of Burnsville. According to the sheriff's office, Willett had been engaging in the online solicitation of juveniles for sexual acts.

Willett was taken into custody on 08/13/2024 and charged with Felony Solicit Child By Computer. Willett was transported to the Yancey County Detention Center where he was issued a $25,000 secure bond.
