Two Men Arrested on Drug Charges in Haywood County

Haywood County -- April 8, 2024: Haywood County Sheriff's Office Report: On Thursday, the Haywood County Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) conducted 

a traffic stop which led to the seizure of 3.1 pounds of Methamphetamine and 178.2 Grams of Fentanyl.

Christopher Jason Woodard, age 45 of Bryson City, and Clinton Ensley, age 44 and also of Bryson City, were arrested and charged with the following:

- 2 Counts of Felony Trafficking Opium or Heroin
- 2 Counts of Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Felony Conspire to Traffick Methamphetamine
- Felony Conspire to Traffick Opium/Heroin

Woodard and Ensley are each being held in the Haywood County Detention Center under a $750,000 secured bond.
