Second Arrest Announced in Fatal Hit and Run

Brevard -- The Brevard Police Department and the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office Announce Arrest of Additional Suspect in Fatal Pedestrian Hit & Run Investigation

The Brevard Police Department and the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office have announced the arrest of Amber Shay Morgan, age 43, of Brevard, North Carolina. Morgan is charged with Felony Accessory After the Fact, in connection with the October 3, fatal hit-and-run collision that killed Roy Lee Waters, of Brevard, North Carolina after he succumbed to his injuries on October 6, 2023.
Morgan is currently being held at the Transylvania County Jail pending trial. The bond has been set at $100,000 secured.
The Brevard Police Department and the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
