Asheville Police Charge 16 People in Special Operation
Asheville -- December 7, 2024: Following an operation aimed at larceny and repeat offenders, the Asheville Police Department reported today that 16 people had been cited or charged.
Police stated that following reports from companies along South Tunnel Road, they teamed up with loss prevention personnel in East Asheville businesses for their "first blitz of 2023."

The operation resulted in 14 people charged, 2 arrested, 2 warrants served, and another 2 warrants pending service for a total of 18 charges, along with 56.08 grams of crack cocaine seized.
