Asheville Police Search for Suspect who Robbed Wheelbound Shopper
Asheville -- February 23, 3022: Asheville Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a man in a wheelchair Saturday
afternoon.
The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Hendersonville around 4:20 p.m. February 13, 2022. According to the victim the man offered assistance with his belongings to the parking lot. Once there, the suspect took the man's fanny pack and ran. The pack had money and personal items.
The victim did try to follow the man, but was warned by him that he had a weapon and he better leave him alone.
Police did not find the suspect, but found some of the items belonging to the victim.
The suspect description:
White Male in his 30's
Wearing Black and Green Jackes, a Green hoodie underneath and Black Sweat Pants
The man should be considered armed and dangerous
