Visit Apple Valley Model Railroad Club Hendersonville NC
Hendersonville -- Are you looking for something fun and different to do with your friends? Are you a history buff?
Do you like trains, lights, and the smell of burning coal? If so, you need to visit the Apple Valley Model Railroad Club
in Hendersonville, NC. Located in the Historic 1902 Hendersonville Railroad Depot, just steps away from the famed Swannanoa River.
The Apple Valley Model Railroad Club offers a HO scale (1:87) layout that's just right for train enthusiasts of all ages. The club uses a Digital Command Control (DCC) radio system to control the railroad. That means that each train is assigned its own "call number" which enables operators to easily follow their trains from one part of the layout to another - whether they're walking or driving the train.
The scenery is complete but the railroad still requires added details to enhance the overall effect. Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of locomotives and rolling stock as members bring their own equipment to run as well.
