Asheville Police Apprehend Armed Robbery Suspect
Asheville -- December 3, 2024: Press Release Asheville Police Department: Officers responded to the 800 block
of Tunnel Road around 7:20 p.m. on December 2nd to investigate an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, the store employee stated that an individual wearing a ski mask entered the store, brandished a handgun, stole items from the counter, and fled on foot.
While canvassing the area, officers identified a person matching the suspect's description as a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic stop nearby. The juvenile suspect was taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered a handgun and stolen store items in the suspectโs possession.
