Canton Mother Dies in Thanksgiving Day Collision

Canton -- December 3, 2024: A Canton mother lost her life in a horrific collision on Thanksgiving Day, and another motorist was seriously injured. 

 

Brandon Privett, 36 was driving, attempting to pass at a fast speed, with his wife and two children in the car illegally crossed a double yellow line, resulting in a head-on collision that killed his wife and gravely injured another motorist who is currently battling for his life in Mission ICU.
 
Amethyst Privett, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
According to the ticket Privett received, he was traveling at about 80 miles per hour when the collision occurred.
