Asheville -- November 25, 2024: Asheville Police Press Release: The Asheville Police Department is investigating a shooting in west Asheville on Friday evening that resulted in one gunshot victim.

Officers responded to an apartment complex on Granada Street around 6:55 p.m. on November 22nd to investigate a gunshot wound. When officers arrived, they located the juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Responding officers applied a tourniquet to the victim until the arrival of EMS. The victim was transported to Mission Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives and Forensic Technicians responded to the scene and were able to recover evidence. Further investigation determined that four vehicles and a window were damaged by gunfire.
