Rutherford County -- November 23, 2024: Rutherford County Sheriff's Office: On November 9th, the Rutherford County

Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (A.C.E) team conducted a drug investigation 

that led to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a significant amount of methamphetamine.
The investigation began when officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked at Becky’s Country Store in the Golden Valley area.

Further inquiries connected the activity to locations on Noah Drive in Bostic and Kitten Trail in Forest City. During the operation, officers seized 77 grams of methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia, and approximately $2,200 in US Currency.

As a result of the investigation, Aaron Howard Yelton, 52, of Kitten Trail in Forest City, was arrested and charged with:

Trafficking methamphetamine
Possession of methamphetamine
Conspiracy to sell and deliver Methamphetamine.
Possession of drug paraphernalia

Carroll Paul Richard Jr., 52, of Moriah School Road in Cleveland County, was taken into custody and charged with:
Possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine.
Conspiracy to sell and deliver methamphetamine.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Robert Paul Benton, 59, of Noah Drive in Bostic, was arrested and served with the following orders for arrest:
Firearm by Felon(X4)
Habitual Felon
Child Support Order for Arrest
All suspects were transported to the Rutherford County jail without incident. The A.C.E team continues its efforts to disrupt illegal drug activities within Rutherford County.
