Madison County Animal Shelter Sends SOS for Fosters

Madison County -- July 23, 2024: Madison County Animal Shelter employees sent out an SOSon social media two days ago.

"URGENT SOS! We are in DIRE NEED OF FOSTERS TODAY, SUNDAY JULY 21, ASAP! We are AT CAPACITY in the shelter but we just discovered TWO ABANDONED DOGS CHAINED UP IN MARSHALL THAT WE NEED TO RESCUE ASAP. WE ARE DEDICATED to helping the animals of Madison County. We work very hard to serve everyone, but WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY. If anyone out there has considered fostering a pup, this is the time! WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED to care for your fosteree! We have lots of delightful pups of all sizes who need a spot for a bit while we make room. FOSTERING IS ONLY A SHORT-TERM COMMITMENT (though if you fall in love, you would be able to adopt the dog!). CAN YOU HELP? Please call our FOSTER PHONE ASAP at 828-319-5343. THANK YOU"

*URGENT NEED** We are down to a critical (less than one day) supply of NON-CLUMPING cat litter. We are currently open by appointment only but all donations can be left in our donation bin just outside the front gate.

Overcrowding, finding pets in dire situations, fosters are needed now, you don't have to be a resident of Madison County.
