Asheville Police Ask Public’s Help After Shooting
Asheville -- June 26, 2024: The Asheville Police are conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred
on Haywood Road in west Asheville on Monday afternoon.
Police officers were dispatched to Mission Hospital at approximately 3:22 p.m. on June 24th in response to a complaint of an individual who had sustained a gunshot wound. Upon the arrival of the authorities, they found a victim who had a single bullet wound that went through the right arm and into the belly. During the conversation with the victim, they mentioned that the incident took place on Haywood Road. Following being shot, the victim drove to the hospital. During their inquiry, law enforcement discovered a gray 2003 Dodge Ram Truck parked outside the Emergency Room. The vehicle had visible damage caused by a bullet piercing through the glass.
