Buncombe County Man Faces Felony Charge and Resisting Arrest

Buncombe County -- October 6, 2023: In Asheville, the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office arrested Brandon Lee Kerley on September 28 for four counts of Felony Possession of Stolen Property, one of Larceny, and Resisting Public Officers.

According to the Buncombe County Sheriff's, Kerley had five stolen motorcycles worth over $30,000. A week-long theft investigation conducted by Sheriff's Office Senior Detective David Reed resulted in these charges and the motorcycles' recovery.

Asheville Police and Haywood County Sheriff's Office warrants were served on Kerley upon arrest. He has a $122,201 secured bond and is held at Buncombe County Detention Facility.
