Waynesville Police Identify Man Found Dead Under Bridge

Waynesville -- April 26, 2023: On April 20, 2023 the Wayesville Police Department announced the
identification of a man found deceased the prior day.

Michael D. Roland, 48, who had a Maggie Valley address, was discovered beneath the bridge going to Autumn
Care of Waynesville. An autopsy is set in an effort by the detectives to discover more about Mr. Roland's demise.
No evident injuries were discovered at the site, and no evidence that would suggest that his death was suspicious
was gathered.
