Grant Money Approved by Haywood County Commissioners for COVID Vaccine Program

Haywood Count -- February 7, 2023: The Haywood County Board of Commissioners once again
discussed accepting

grant money during a meeting on Monday.  Last month it was put on hold after because of worries from certain community members. Last night, the Board unanimously approved voted to approve the grant money

The state gave Haywood County a grant of about $75,000 with the intention of making the COVID vaccine more widely available.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the vaccine roll-out has become a top priority for many communities across the country. The grant from Haywood County will aid in the effort to get as many people vaccinated as possible, thereby reducing the spread of the virus,
