Shooting Victims Identified, One Arrest, One Suspect Wanted
Buncombe Coutny -- December 20, 2022: Two shooting victims have been identified by the Buncombe
County Sheriff's Office.
Fletcher residents Sandy Elizabeth Torrey, 26, and Bryan Emmanuel Khopkar, 39, were discovered dead in a vehicle on December 19 outside an Arden Shell gas station.
According to an announcement made on December 18th, both victims were local residents
Sheriff's spokesman Aaron Sarver said that the next of kin had been notified.
The sheriff's office reported that they had apprehended one suspect in the shooting and were still on the lookout for a second.
The sheriff's office has announced that Cody Wayne Dockins and Godiet Corral will both face murder charges.
The arrest of Corral occurred on a Monday afternoon. The sheriff's office informed the public that a search for Dockins
continues, is also wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for unrelated crimes.
Deputies in Buncombe County have stated that Dockins is still wanted for questioning.
Multiple search warrants were reportedly carried out by deputies on Monday as part of the inquiry. They also stated that CCTV footage from the gas station helped them figure out what had happened.
