Woman Sentenced in the killing of her aunt

Swink, 52, was sentenced 18- 22 years in prison after guilty plea to Second Degree Murder of her aunt, 66-year-old Patricia Swink. She also pleaded guilty to Larcenty of a Motor Vehicle.
On October 31, 2016, Tina Swink and her son, Micky Swink, broke into the aunt's Hickory home through the basement. Micky was convicted of First Degree Murder in July 2017, admitted to stabbing her in the chest and neck. He then took pills, money and a gun.
The mother and son took off in Patricia's vehicle, which was then abandoned in the Long View.
Micky Swain was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
