Henderson County --  The Henderson County E-911 Center was notified of a stabbing in the Mills River community on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Fire and Henderson County EMS personnel were sent to the area, as were patrol deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff's Office.  

When deputies arrived, they found a female victim inside the house with stab wounds to her chest and left arm.  Until EMS arrived and took over medical treatment, deputies administered first aid. After the victim's injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, they were taken to Mission Hospital.

Harrison West, an 18-year-old suspect, was apprehended at the site without any problems.  The Major Crimes Unit of the Henderson County Sheriff's Office arrived to process the scene and carry out a comprehensive investigation.
 
Harrison West is accused with assault causing serious injury with a deadly weapon.

He was transported to the Henderson County Detention Facility and later appeared before a magistrate in Henderson County District Court, where he received a $40,000 secured bond.
This is an active investigation. No further details will be released at this time.
