
McDowell County Man Arrested after Disturance Call
McDowell County -- The following is a report from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office this morning: The Mcdowell County Sheriff's Office
charged Andrew Bryant Farley, 27, of Marion
with felony Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance. He was given a secured bond of $11,000.
On February 15, Deputy Baliles and Lieutenant Jason Cook responded to a residence in Old Fort regarding a disturbance. The caller stated that a male acquaintance was intoxicated and belligerent and would not leave the property. Upon arrival, Deputy Baliles and Lt. Cook spoke with Farley and found him to also be under the influence of an impairing substance.
A search of his person turned up a plastic bag filled with mushrooms. Farley was placed under arrest and transported to the McDowell Hospital for evaluation before being released to the McDowell County Detention Center.
