
Four Narcotics-Related Arrests Over the Weekend in Asheville
Asheville -- August 11, 2025: Over the weekend, APD officers conducted proactive enforcement in response to community complaints regarding illegal drug activities.
Four narcotics-related arrests and placing four people under arrest on outstanding warrants and drug charges.
At around 8:12 p.m. on August 9th, officers encountered Aaron Keith Brown (05/21/1978), who had outstanding warrants for drug possession, at the intersection of State Street and Amboy Road. Brown was discovered to be driving without a license and in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of the arrest. Jessie Melissa Cline (08/27/1976), his passenger, was arrested after it was discovered that she was in possession of drugs.
In the second incident, which happened the next evening, at approximately 9:47 p.m., authorities saw John Bradley Davis (06/26/1979) operating a car with an expired inspection and registration in the 100 block of Tunnel Road. Davis was apprehended without incident after it was discovered that he was in possession of many drugs during the stop.
The third incident, later that night, officers made contact with Dakota Lee Worley (08/07/1996) on South French Broad Avenue around 11:04 p.m., who had open warrants for trafficking narcotics. During the arrest, Worley was found to be in possession of a trafficking amount of opium, as well as methamphetamine and fentanyl.
