Asheville --  As the temperatures rise, so does Asheville's vibrant entertainment calendar, with the latter half of June promising a diverse array of events for locals and visitors alike.

From major musical acts to engaging theatrical productions and opportunities to discover local artistry, there's something to captivate every interest.

Big Names Take the Stage:

Music enthusiasts have a packed schedule to look forward to at Asheville Yards. Indie rock darlings Vampire Weekend will bring their "Only God Was Above Us" Tour Part 2 to the city on Monday, June 9th.

Following them, lo-fi indie pop artist Beabadoobee performs on Wednesday, June 11th, with iconic alternative rock band Modest Mouse gracing the stage on Friday, June 13th. Fans of roots-reggae will want to catch Iration at The Orange Peel on Friday, June 13th, while Dispatch delivers their unique blend of folk and rock at Asheville Yards on Saturday, June 14th. 

The pop-rock sounds of Wallows arrive at Asheville Yards on Sunday, June 15th, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will deliver their soulful rock on Tuesday, June 24th at Asheville Yards.

For those who enjoy a good tribute, "You Can Call Me Paul – A Paul Simon Tribute" featuring special guest Jason Hann of String Cheese Incident will be held at the Diana Wortham Theatre on Sunday, June 8th. The Orange Peel also welcomes comedian Fred Armisen for two shows on Wednesday, June 19th, promising an evening of laughter.

Festivals and Community Gatherings:

The atmosphere in downtown Asheville will be buzzing with activity, including the ongoing Asheville Art in the Park series. On June 14th, 21st, and 28th, Pack Square Park transforms into an open-air gallery, offering a chance to explore and purchase works from talented regional artists in various mediums.

The popular Downtown After 5 free concert series continues on Friday, June 20th in Pack Square Park, providing a fantastic opportunity to enjoy live music outdoors. This month's event is set to feature the bluesy powerhouse Southern Avenue and DJ Phantom Pantone.

For a unique community celebration, head to Highland Brewing on Sunday, June 8th for the 4th Annual Asheville Honey Fest. The stage is set for a variety of theatrical experiences. Montford Park Players continue their free performances of Shakespeare's lively comedy, "The Merry Wives of Windsor," running through June 28th at the Hazel Robinson Amphitheatre.

At the Asheville Community Theatre, audiences can dive "under the sea" with Disney's The Little Mermaid, running from June 13th through July 6th. Meanwhile, NC Stage presents "The Last Wide Open," with performances scheduled from June 19th to July 13th.

For a more unique performance, the Land of the Sky Burlesque Fest Presents “Just A Peak” on Saturday, June 28th, at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, showcasing performers from across the country.

Art lovers can also explore theexhibition at the Biltmore Estate, a major offering exploring ancient Egypt that runs through January 4, 2026. The Black Mountain C "Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures" enter for the Arts continues its multi-faceted Art in Bloom event, celebrating nature and art with gallery exhibits and more throughout June. Additionally, the Toe River Studio Tour from June 6th-8th offers a unique opportunity to visit artist studios and see their creations firsthand.
