WNC --  Western North Carolina is gearing up for another fantastic weekend filled with live music under the open sky! Whether you're in the mood for soulful tunes, lively bluegrass, or rocking rhythms, there's an outdoor concert happening near you.

Here's a curated list of local outdoor musical events to check out this weekend:

Thursday, June 12th: Setting the Stage

Music on Main: 5 O'Clock Somewhere: Kick off your musical weekend in Hendersonville at the Welcome Center (201 S. Main St., Hendersonville, NC). This free concert series continues with a performance from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Expect a relaxed atmosphere and great tunes to ease you into the weekend.

Thursday Night Concert Series ft. The Moon and You: Head to Weaverville and enjoy an intimate outdoor setting at JuneBug Creek Lounge. The music runs from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a $10 cover charge.

2025 Park Rhythms Concert Series!: Downtown Black Mountain comes alive with free music at the Town Square. This popular series runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is a perfect family-friendly evening out.

 


Jerry's Dead (Jerry Garcia Cover Band): For all the Deadheads out there, French Broad River Brewery in Asheville (located at 50 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803) will be hosting Jerry's Dead from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Enjoy some classic tunes with your favorite local brews – no cover charge!

Friday, June 13th: Friday Night Vibes

Live Music at the Bandstand Biltmore ft. PATRICK LOPEZ EXPERIENCE: Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville at Antler Hill Village. Starting at 4:30 pm (with sets on the half-hour), enjoy a variety of genres. This Friday features the PATRICK LOPEZ EXPERIENCE, bringing their blend of Pop, Latin, and Jazz. Note that Biltmore admission is required.


Hustle Souls: Get ready to groove at the Amphitheater at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Mills River (100 Sierra Nevada Way, Mills River, NC 28732). This Asheville-based band, known for their unique mix of Retro-Soul, Brass Band Funk, and Americana, will be performing from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Best of all, it's a FREE show!

Dogs in a Pile: Just a short drive to Black Mountain, Pisgah Brewing Company (144 Thompson St, Black Mountain, NC 28711) will host Dogs in a Pile starting at 6:30 PM. Tickets start at $34.02, so be sure to grab yours in advance.

Saturday, June 14th: Weekend Highlights

Live Music at the Bandstand Biltmore ft. KELLEY AND THE COWBOYS: Head back to Antler Hill Village at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville for more live music starting at 4:30 pm. Saturday's featured act is KELLEY AND THE COWBOYS, bringing their Western Swing sound to the bandstand. Remember, Biltmore admission is required.

Daniel Shearin (acoustic): Enjoy a laid-back afternoon with Daniel Shearin (of River Whyless fame) performing an acoustic set at the Amphitheater at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Mills River (100 Sierra Nevada Way, Mills River, NC 28732) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This is another fantastic FREE event!

Sunday, June 15th: Wrapping Up the Weekend

South for Winter: Experience the enchanting sounds of "dream folk" with South for Winter at Olivette Farm in Asheville (located off of Olivette Rd - check their website for specific directions). This unique outdoor setting encourages you to bring your own beverages and chairs for a relaxing afternoon. Kids get in free!

Reggae Sunday with Chalwa: Wind down your weekend with some irie vibes at French Broad River Brewery in Asheville (50 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). Chalwa will be bringing the reggae rhythms from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and there's no cover charge.

Julio & the Saltines: End your musical weekend on a high note with Julio & the Saltines at the Amphitheater at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Mills River (100 Sierra Nevada Way, Mills River, NC 28732). This "South Carolina's ultimate party band" will be performing from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, offering another FREE opportunity for great live music.
