Family Friendly Asheville Announces UPCOMING MOVIES IN THE PARK OPTIONS: June 13th - One of our favorite things about summer season are the multiple summer movies series, especially the outdoor movies in the parks, and BOTH Asheville Parks & Recreation and Henderson County Recreation are showing a movie in the park this Friday!

ASHEVILLE: Join Asheville Parks & Recreation for Movies in the Park at Pack Square Park in Downtown Asheville where they’ll be playing Black Panther. Local vendors Kona Ice of Asheville and Kernel Mike’s World Famous Kettle Corn will be on hand with delicious treats, as well as Smasheville food truck.

Bring blankets and lawn chairs to settle in for an evening of entertainment against the stunning backdrop of Asheville City Hall and the surrounding mountains. The movie begins around 8:45pm. APR Rec n Roll Play Zone opens about an hour before showtime with games, music, and activities for kids and teens, and will be giving out superhero mask while supplies last. Pets, smoking, and alcohol prohibited. Free parking available in marked spaces on city streets and in City of Asheville lots on Marjorie and Valley streets after 6pm

HENDERSONVILLE

Join Henderson County Parks & Recreation for Movie in the Park at Dana Park where they’ll be showing Disney’s Moana 2. Food trucks open at 7PM – grab delicious bites from Southern Hawg BBQ and Kole Kole Ice before the movie begins. Movie starts at dusk (around 8PM) – don’t forget your blanket and chair for cozy viewing under the stars!

THERE’S ONE IN MILLS RIVER THIS SATURDAY, TOO!

June 14th - The Town of Mills River Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting an outdoor movie in the park event at Mills River Park where they’ll be playing The Wild Robot. The event will take place at the multi-purpose fields in the park starting at dusk. This event is free to attend. No pre-registration is required. Concessions will be available for purchase (cash only). Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Please leave all pets at home for this event.
