RALEIGH -- Aug 3, 2018 The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services honored four small business owners across North Carolina with a 2018 Small Business of the Year award.

FRANKLIN, NC -- On Wednesday,  a press release by the office of NC District Attorney, Greg Newman announced Macon County Deputy Sheriff Momphar, Jr. has been cleared in the fatal shooting of a Franklin resident, Michael Scott Knibbs. RALEIGH --Jul 30, 2018 NC Governor Roy Cooper has issued Executive Order No. 48, paving the way for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to immediately apply for $25 million in federal funding to combat the opioid epidemic in North Carolina.
