Asheville Police ask Public for information in shooting death on Haywood Road

Asheville -- Asheville Police Department are asking for the public's help with an incident that occured this morning on Haywood Road.

This morning at approximately 2:15 a.m. the Asheville Police Department responded to 574 Haywood Road after reports of an individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, Ramon Clark (26), of Asheville, succumbed to injuries resulting from a gunshot wound prior to officer arrival. This incident is under further investigation.

The Asheville Police Department contacted Rainbow Community School to notify them of the incident due to the close proximity of the crime scene.
