Involuntary Manslaughter Charges Filed in BCSO Death Investigation

Buncombe County -- January 14, 2025: Press Release Buncombe County Sheriff's Office: Detectives with the Buncombe County

Sheriff’s Office charged 24-year-old Timothy Becker

with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 23-year-old Allen Crenshaw. Deputies responded to a call of a gunshot wound just after 12:45 p.m. Monday, January 13 at 7 Pink Fox Ridge Road in the Reems Creek Community. Upon arrival, responding deputies found the victim, Allen Crenshaw, deceased with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. After further investigation, investigators determined Timothy
Becker was the suspect in the shooting. Becker was taken into custody and is currently being held in the Buncombe County Detention Center under $500,000 secured bond.
