Rutherford County Man Faces Felony Larson Charges

Rutherford County -- December  6. 2024: On 11/25/24, Deputies with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Road

Patrol Division responded to the area of Race Path Church Road,

in reference to a Larceny that had recently occurred. Shortly after reporting his dirt bike was stolen, the victim observed his dirt bike being operated by a male subject. Road deputies responded, set up a perimeter and began to look for the stolen property.

As a result of their efforts, the dirt bike was recovered nearby, behind a residence where the suspect fled on foot. In the short amount of time the dirt bike had been stolen, it had already been altered by being spray painted, in an effort to conceal its distinctiveness.

Deputies began an investigation immediately, and on 12/01/24 warrants were secured for Justin Robert Buckner. In the early morning of 12/02/24, road patrol deputies took Justin into custody.

As a result of this investigation, Justin Robert Buckner, 31 of Ellenboro, was arrested and charged with the following:
Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle
Felony Possess Stolen Motor Vehicle
Justin is currently being held on no bond.
