Buncombe County -- September 26, 2024: Buncombe County Government IMPORTANT HURRICANE HELENE UPDATES IN

BUNCOMBE COUNTY ‣ Historic flooding expected along French Broad and Swannanoa Rivers.

‣ Self-evacuate if you’re near the rivers in Fletcher or Biltmore Village before Friday night.
‣ Shelters open:
- First Baptist Church Swannanoa (now) - 503 Park St. Swannanoa NC 28778
- Trinity Baptist Church (3 p.m. Thursday) - 216 Shelburn Rd. Asheville NC 28806
‣ County offices and courthouse will be closed on Friday, Sept. 27.
