Asheville Police Seek Armed Robber Of West Asheville Gas Station

Asheville -- September 20, 2024: Asheville Police: Investigators are seeking an armed robber who held up a west

Asheville gas station at knifepoint Wednesday afternoon.

APD officers responded to a gas station in the 100 block of Smokey Park Highway around 4:45 p.m. on September 18th to investigate an armed robbery. Upon arrival, an employee told officers a man entered the store, brandished a knife, and demanded that the cash register be opened. After taking the cash, the man fled on foot.

Investigators say the man is described as a light-skinned male with a black mustache, around 5’6”-5’8”, small stature, appearing to be in his early 20s, wearing all black, and wearing a black ski mask.
