Haywood County -- September 19, 2024: Haywood County Sheriff's Office: We have had more reports of an individual

calling and claiming to be from the Haywood County Sheriff's Office. 

They are trying to convince our citizens to pay them money or go to jail. THIS IS A SCAM. No one from our office will ever call and request money for any reason. You may also reach out to law enforcement if you feel you have been a victim of this scam.
