Deceased Person Found in Little Tennessee River Adjacent Macon County Greenway

Franklin -- September 10, 2024: The Franklin Police reported that at approximately 7:45 AM today, two fishermen in kayaks

found a deceased individual in the Little Tennessee River near the Macon County Greenway. This inquiry is in its initial phases.

The name of the individual, the reason of death, and any more circumstances pertaining to the demise are still unknown. The investigation continues. We will bring details as they become available.
