Rutherford County Community Assist in Arrest

Rutherford County -- August 23, 2024: Several people in the Asheland Drive and Pinehurst Road area called the police

on Thursday, to report a strange man in the area.

The residents started to watch the man more closely and told other people in the neighborhood about it. The person who called the police told the first deputy that the male suspect had just stolen a bike from one of the yards before the officers arrived. The neighbors started following the suspect to help the police find him.

As soon as more officers arrived, a perimeter was set up to protect the area so that the K-9 could be used to find the suspect who was running away. Terryl Nicholas Earley, the suspect, was found and recognized by witnesses and home security cameras after the area was searched.

Early was charged with Felony Larceny and Resisting Officer(s) and given a guaranteed bond of $5,000.00.
