McDowell Man Faces Drug Charges

McDowell County -- July 12, 2024: McDowell County Sheriff's Office: Deputy Tre Spearman charged 33-year-old

Rodney Dale Williamson with felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Providing Fictitious Info to an Officer. He is being held with no bond due to being out on a previous pre-trial bond for unrelated crimes.

On July 8th, deputies responded to Old Hwy 10 for a suspicious vehicle blocking the roadway. Williamson was the driver of the car, and he gave Deputy Spearman a fake name. A search of Williamson turned up methamphetamine.
