Asheville Police Arrest Two Felons For Drug Trafficking

Asheville -- July 3, 2024: Press Release Asheville Police Department: Asheville Police Department detectives and officers

arrested two felons for drug trafficking as they conducted proactive enforcement after receiving community complaints of drug activity. 

While conducting crime prevention efforts, detectives and officers made contact with David Marshall Peck, Adrian Maurice Jones, and Justin Lee Garcia, who was wanted on open warrants for parole violations, on Granada Street the afternoon of July 2. During the arrest, two of the occupants were found to be in possession of a trafficking amount of drugs.

Seized:

-28.8g of fentanyl

-44g of methamphetamine

-3.6g of crack cocaine 

Arrested:

Justin Lee Garcia (12/28/1988)

-Warrant: Parole Violation

-Warrant: Civil Non-Support x2

-Failure to Appear on Pretrial Release Violation x2

-Charged: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Garcia was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $104,162 (or $10,416.20 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.

David Marshall Peck 

-Trafficking in Opium or Heroin by Possession (Level III)

-Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II x2

-Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000ft of a School

-Maintain a Vehicle for Controlled Substances

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Peck was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release ) by a magistrate due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.

Adrian Maurice Jones 

-Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Possession (Level I)

-Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II x2

-Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000ft of a School

-Maintain a Vehicle for Controlled Substances

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

-Simple Possession of Schedule VI

Jones was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $104,000 (or $10,400 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
