Asheville -- June 27, 2024: Asheville Police Department Press Release:  Asheville Police Detectives and Officers apprehended

a felon with guns and drugs Tuesday afternoon in south Asheville.

While conducting targeted enforcement in response to the recent shootings in a south Asheville neighborhood, APD officers attempted to make contact with Jermaine DeAndre Patton (09/09/1994) on Crest Avenue around 5:44 p.m. on June 25th. Instead, Patton attempted to evade police but was located in the nearby area and taken into custody. During the arrest, he was found to be in possession of three firearms, one of which was stolen, and drugs. 

Seized:

-Smith & Wesson M&P .40 pistol x2

-Taurus PT111 pistol

-6.9g of crack cocaine

Arrested:

Jermaine DeAndre Patton (09/09/1994)

-Possession of Firearm by Felon x3

-Possession of Stolen Firearm

-Felonious Carrying a Concealed Gun

-Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II

-Maintain a Vehicle for Controlled Substances

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Patton was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $200,000 (or $20,000 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by the magistrate.
