Asheville Homicide Victim Identified, Shooting Suspect Arrested

Asheville  -- June 25, 2024: Asheville Police Department continues to investigate a Monday night shooting that left one dead,

two others with gunshot wounds and one with injuries from blunt force trauma. 

APD released the name of the homicide victim following next of kin notification and charged and arrested one of the shooters. Ashley Ryan Waddell (11/29/1983) has been identified as the victim.

Isaiah Rayshawn Waddell:
Charge: Attempted 1st Degree Murder. Waddell was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release).
