Two People Face Drug and Gun Charges in Henderson County
Henderson County -- June 14, 2024: Press Release Henderson County Sheriff's Office: On Thursday, June 13th, 2024, Detectives with the Drug Interdiction
and Criminal Enforcement Division of the Henderson County Sheriff's Office were conducting proactive patrol in the area of Mitchelle Dr and Orrs Camp Rd in Hendersonville. Detectives observed a motor vehicle that was being operated by John Quentin London, age 38 of Hendersonville. London had previously been the subject of numerous community complaints in regards to his involvement in the sell and distribution of illegal controlled substances. Upon observing London, Detectives attempted to conduct a vehicle stop on London, however London attempted to flee.
Detectives gave chase to London through Hendersonville before London finally stopped in the area of Wilmont Dr and Tracy Grove Rd. Upon stopping, London and a passenger, later identified as Christopher RusselL, age 28 of Hendersonville, fled from the vehicle on foot. Detectives were able to quickly apprehend London after a short foot pursuit. Detectives were able to contain the area and utilized a K9 to attempt to track the whereabouts of Russel. After a short track, Russell was also taken into custody without any further incident. After executing a search warrant on London"s vehicle, Detectives located the following items as a result of the incident:
79.12 grams of Methamphetamine
4.74 grams of Cocaine
5.8 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms
5 dosage units of Xanax
100.39 grams of Marijuana
$1,160.00 of United States currency
2 firearms
London was transported to the Henderson County Detention Center, where he remains in custody with no bond. LONDON was charged with the following crimes:
Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Possession
Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Transport PWISD Cocaine PWISD of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance PWISD of a Schedule 4 Controlled Substance PWISD Marijuana Resist,
Obstruct, Delay of a Public Officer Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine Felony Flee to Elude Arrest Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Russell was also transported to the Henderson County Detention Center, where he remains in custody under a $500,000.00 bond. Russell was charged with the following crimes:
Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Possession Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Transport PWISD Cocaine PWISD of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance PWISD of a Schedule 4 Controlled
Substance PWISD Marijuana Resist, Obstruct, Delay of a Public Officer Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine.
To preserve the integrity of this investigation, no further information will be given pending adjudication of this case.
