Hendersonville Man Guilty of Fletcher Murders
Buncombe County -- March 13, 2024: Godiet Corral, 33, of Hendersonville, has been found guilty of two counts of
first-degree murder by a Buncombe County jury.
Corral was sentenced by visiting Superior Court Judge Karen Eady-Williams to serve two consecutive terms of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
Corral was charged after victims Sandy Torrey and Bryan Khopkar were found deceased in a vehicle at a Shell gas station on Mills Gap Road in Fletcher on December 19, 2022. The vicitms were shot to death.
Due to a related case currently pending trial, the District Attorney’s Office will make no additional public comment at this time.
