Juvenile Found in Possession of Firearm and Drugs

Rutherford County -- February 9, 2024: On Thursday, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID), assisted the

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), with a search warrant in Rutherford County. This search warrant was regarding an Armed Robbery that had occurred in Charlotte on February 5th, 2024.(CMPD’s) investigation developed a juvenile suspect that resides inside Rutherford County.

During the execution of the search warrant, (CMPD) located their suspect, who was found in possession of a firearm, narcotics, and a large sum of cash. Rutherford County (CID) unit then applied for an additional search warrant to search the residence for narcotics. Multiple other firearms and narcotics were located inside the residence.

In total, Rutherford County (CID) seized over 5 pounds Marijuana,91 grams of Psilocybin, 6 dosage units of MDMA, 6 dosage units of Xanax, and $3,288.00 in cash.
Due to juvenile status, suspect information cannot be given.
