Missing Rutherford County Man Found Deceased

Rutherford County -- November 27, 2023: The body of a man who was reported missing in Western North Carolina has been found.

The body of Billy Joe Blanton Jr. 37, was found in a wooded area in Cliffside by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office. 

Blanton Jr., 37, was last seen on Nov. 11, 2023, in the Union Mills area of Rutherford County according to an earlier release by the Sheriff's Department. 

The Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for their assistance in this case. The investigation continues.
