APD Specially Marked Vehicle for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Asheville -- October 2, 2023: The Asheville Police Department has a specially marked SUV with the existing design in pink tones and some additional decals as well in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is observed every October, aims to raise public awareness of breast cancer and the value of early detection.
In order to exhibit the car and contribute to the effort to spread awareness during this particular month, officers from all of the APD districts will be driving the specially marked vehicle.
"APD Officers are also proud to participate in the Pink Patch Project and wear a vibrant pink version of the departmental patch on their uniform in the month of October. The Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research for organizations in combating this devastating disease."
WNCTimes wants to express our appreciation to the Asheville Police Department for their initiative in dedicating a specially marked vehicle for the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is inspirational that officers are driving this vehicle throughout all of the APD districts, using it as a symbol to raise awareness about breast cancer. Their commitment to supporting such a vital cause not only showcases their dedication to public safety but also their compassion for the community they serve. This gesture highlights the importance of unity and awareness in our society, reminding us of the impact we can make when we come together for the greater good.
Thank you, Asheville Police Department, for your meaningful contribution to the cause.
