Body Found Floating in Lake Fontana

Swain County -- May 15, 2023: After a body was spotted floating in Fontana Lake over the weekend,
an investigation is already under way.

There are currently little facts available, however Swain County Sheriff Curtis Cochran reported on Facebook that
deputies were sent to Fontana Lake at the Wilderness Marina in the Greasy Branch area on Saturday, May 13, for a body
that was discovered floating in the lake.

An autopsy will be done later this week to determine cause of death.

No further information is available at this time.
